Message from the Chief
Welcome to the Henderson Police Department’s Web site. Our goal is to provide you with useful information about our agency that we hope makes it easier for you to do business with us. The Henderson Police Department has been serving the community since 1841. Through a partnership between police and community, we are committed to providing residents and visitors to the City of Henderson with a safe environment and exemplary police service. We are dedicated to providing a quality work atmosphere and developing our team through effective, timely training and progressive leadership. Through positive interaction with our neighbors, we will work to protect all people and property in our community.
The men and women of Henderson Police Department would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our community. The City of Henderson is strategically located within an hour’s drive to the City of Raleigh. Area transportation amenities inclusive of interstate, rail, and airport make our City a great alternative to the hectic pace of a large city, while affording the ability to provide a warm and inviting community atmosphere for families, business, and recreation.

The Officers and citizens of Henderson partner in the spirit of Community Policing to make our city a safe community for work, play, and everyday living. The Henderson Police Department is internationally accredited and recognized as a "Flagship Agency" by the Commission Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). The department has an assigned strength of 61 sworn officers and a dedicated staff of 9 civilian employees.
