Lt. Robinson with the Henderson Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit recently attended the 2010 Southeastern Crime Stoppers Association Conference in Myrtle Beach, SC. The Southeastern Crime Stoppers Association includes Crimesolver, Crime Line, and Crime Stoppers programs from Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington D.C. At the conference Lt. Robinson, Coordinator of Henderson-Vance Crime Stoppers was awarded “Coordinator of the Year 2009” and Reverend Frank Sossomon, Chairman of Henderson-Vance Crime Stoppers, was awarded the “Citizen of the Year 2009”. The Henderson Police Department was also awarded the “Most Cases Solved Productivity” award for a department with a population under 49,999 citizens.
